Take Your Career to New Heights
The Ministry of Defence Police Operational Support Unit (OSU) is currently seeking experienced police officers to join a unit that brings together an exceptional breadth of specialist capability. As an OSU officer, you'll protect sensitive Defence sites, respond to major incidents, and support UK policing more widely, all while developing skills rarely found together anywhere else in policing.
The OSU sits within the Force Operational Support Capability, giving the MDP a highly trained resource ready to respond to major operations, meet specialist policing needs across the Force, and provide mutual aid to Home Department police forces during national incidents.
Every OSU officer brings core skills in firearms, search, and public order. Beyond this, you'll have the opportunity to develop capability in specialist areas such as rope access, protestor removal and protestor removal at heights, counter-drone operations, and disruptive effects, alongside a role within Defence nuclear security operations.
