Meet us online

Join us at one of our online briefing sessions to learn about our unique role, what we offer and what the application process involves. This is also an opportunity for you to meet serving MDP officers and ask any questions you have about joining our Force.

The online briefing sessions will take place on 14. 15 and 16 May 2024 via Microsoft Teams, and last approximately two hours. There is a limit of 950 spaces so allocation will be on a first come first served basis.

To take part in one of these sessions and reserve your place, you must complete this form by 12 noon on Thursday 9th May 2024

When completing the form, please ensure to record your details accurately and indicate which of the sessions you wish to attend.

How to apply

Pre-application workshop

All candidates wishing to apply to join MDP as a new recruit, must attend a pre-application workshop before proceeding to the application stage.

During the workshop you will receive detailed information about the application stages, and the entry requirements for the roles advertised. There will also be time for you to ask questions.

The workshops will take place on 4, 5, 6 and 8 June, via Microsoft Teams, and last approximately two hours. There is a limit of 950 spaces so allocation will be on a first come first served basis.

To register to attend a workshop you must complete this form by 23:45 on Sunday 2nd June 2024

When completing the form, please ensure to record your details accurately and indicate which workshop you wish to attend.

Pre-screening

Following attendance at a pre-application workshop, you’ll receive a pre-sift form to complete and return within 48 hours, upon which you will be asked to confirm your eligibility.

If you meet our eligibility requirements, we will then send you an application form to complete.

To note: 

Posts at the Atomic Weapons Establishment sites, at Aldermaston and Burghfield, will require successful completion of the Developed Vetting (DV) clearance process.
